We offer a wide range of programs and services to meet the needs of those affected by our cause. We help them and their families by providing programs, information and resources to assist in their journey. We also help by raising awareness through public outreach and media.

Our success is measured in the number of people we can help with the quality of programs and services we provide. These programs are fueled by our dedicated staff, caring volunteers and generous donors like you.

As an Organizational member of the Macomb Health Equity Council, MISC now has a Certified Community Health Worker trained by Blue Cross/Blue Shield. The Macomb Health Equity Council coordinates activities that promote health equity throughout Macomb County, particularly for racial and ethnic communities for whom health disparities have been magnified by the COVID-19 pandemic.

Erika Shakkuri provides Health Outreach, in Spanish and English, to our communities.  She is available to our Spanish speaking community and will connect them to health services that may meet their needs; for example,  making appointments or searching for appropriate and manageable providers within their area.  Presently some of our Latino clients make a trip to Chicago to find medical providers that can care for them in their language and within their finances.  Ericka provides a much-needed service for Hispanics, Albanians, Chaldeans, Ukrainian and all other cultures.  For her assistance, call 586 231-4421
